Hi! I'm Ali!
I'm a Registered Social Worker and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I'm also a daughter, sister, friend, fiancée and most importantly, dog mom to Len.
Therapy came into my life during a time that I was being confronted with a lot of the realities that show up when we don't deal with our stuff. It wasn't easy to acknowledge that I was part of the problem and for my life to improve I was going to need to make some changes. Starting therapy was an anxiety-provoking experience, I didn't know what to expect, what to say, or how it was going to help. All I knew is that I didn't want the alternative, so I continued to push myself to show up willingly, vulnerably, and courageously. What I didn't know was that I would completely fall in love with therapy, healing wounds, and self-growth. It's what motivated and inspired me to become a therapist.
As I've worked through my own personal struggles, I appreciate the vulnerability and anxiety that can arise when you decide to heal and share your story. Mental health shouldn't feel stigmatized or shamed, addressing our mental health and learning about us, allows us to make decisions that are best for us. We are creating a blueprint for ourselves to know how to be the best version of ourselves.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, calming, and comfortable space to feel heard, validated, and seen. To work through deep wounds, celebrate success and all the in-between. I will hold space for you and sit with you in difficult moments because sometimes it's just knowing we aren't alone and someone sees us.
As a therapist, I hope to contribute to the de-stigmatization of mental health, normalize self growth, healing, and wellness, and help my clients become the best version of themselves.
